What Splite does
Splite helps people record shared expenses, choose fair ways to split them, and understand who owes what. This policy explains what information we use to provide that service.
Google sign-in
You can sign in with your Google account. We receive the basic account information Google makes available for sign-in, such as your name, email address, and profile identifier. We use it to identify your account, show your name to group members where needed, and keep the service secure. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.
Google Drive and expense data
Splite stores group data, including expenses, member names, balances, and optional attachments, in Google Drive so your groups can be shared and accessed through the service. Splite accesses only the Drive data needed to provide these features. We do not use your Drive content for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Sharing and access
Group information is available to people who have access to that group. Members can see the expenses and balances relevant to their shared group. Private sub-groups are limited to their members. Please only add information that you are allowed to share with the people in your group.
Retention and your choices
Group data remains available while it is stored in the connected Google Drive and while the group is used. You can remove group information through the app or your Google Drive controls. You can stop using Splite, revoke its Google access from your Google account settings, or contact us to ask a question about your information.
Security and service providers
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect access to Splite. Google provides authentication and Drive storage for the features described above. We do not share personal information with unrelated third parties except when required to operate the service, comply with law, or protect the service and its users.
